The Wine Bar

The Wine Bar opened in July 2002 it used to be a Hot Metal Print works (Leeman Press) for many years. The buildings were completely gutted, re-roofed and re-designed to compliment the Bistro next door.

There are pieces of memorabilia dotted around the premises from the print works, including 2 old cast steel printing tables upstairs, which had to stay in situ because of their weight and size.

Customers can meet in the bar for a drink before their meal in the Bistro, and afterwards they can finish the evening in the Wine Bar if they so wish, or they can enjoy the Bistro Menu and Set Menu in the Wine Bar.

We hold several wine tasting evenings throughout the year. We serve a wide selection of wines, real ales and premium beers.

There is also a sheltered courtyard seating area, which is entered through the Wine Bar, with grape vines and a water feature, a pleasant quiet place to spend a warm evening.
